Facts and Needs

Peru is a developing country located in the middle of South America, along the Pacific Ocean. A country with breath-taking scenery and rich history, having been the hub of the Inca Empire , today it has a population of 27 million, out of which 70% live in poverty.

Lima, the capital, has a population of about 9 million, with a unemployment and under-employment rate over 50%. Lima is growing rapidly due to people coming from all over the country looking for opportunity and work to sustain life. As a result, the government finds itself overwhelmed. This situation has created extremely poor shantytowns on the outskirts of the city.
Shanty towns are sprouting up around the city Complex for the Disabled Typical family in need
Children and the disabled are specially in need, with a great number of them undernourished and with little or no access to medical care, education, decent housing, nor employment opportunities.
It is our purpose to show our love and compassion to those less fortunate. We believe in helping empower others to help themselves.

"It is one of the most beautiful compensations of this life that no man can sincerely
try to help another without helping himself." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
