About Our Mission

The Love for Peru Foundation is incorporated in Gulf Breeze, Florida, as a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, with the purpose of providing aid to people with extreme need in marginal urban areas of Peru, where hundreds of families live in cardboard dwellings, with no running water nor sewage, and where over 80% of the people afflicted with physical disabilities never get the chance to receive rehabilitation services.

To date, over 35 teams, comprised of approximately 700 volunteers from several area churches and organizations, have traveled to Peru to help build 7 preschools, 2 libraries, 2 community kitchens, 300 latrines and over 150 houses. In addition, the Love for Peru Foundation has also brought water, sewage, a bathroom facility, and a rehabilitation center for the physically disabled.

Additionally, by teaming up with Rotary Clubs and several Northwest Florida churches, the Love for Peru Foundation has sent three containers with much needed equipment for hospitals and the physically disabled, and has provided clothing and medical care to hundreds of needy people.

Today, the Love for Peru Foundation has 3 large mission fronts in Peru: Project Hope, Love for the Disabled , and Project Angel (Medical & Surgical).
